News flash-
(this will be interesting to see who reads my blog without me telling to).  Brian just got a new job

http://www.ingenix.com/ and starts July 12.  He will no longer be working at Thomson Reuters (http://thomsonreuters.com/ ) as of July 2.  Being the business man he is he made sure to stay long enough to still get their pension plan (July 1).  Good news for all in Minnesota praying we never move- we will be here at least another couple of years. A silver lining for all praying we move to Utah someday, the 2nd biggest office is in Salt Lake.  So in our true fashion there is always a maybe... and no doors closed.
Brian was doing X* at Thomson and wants the experience of doing Y*, with not much luck changing positions at Thomson (stuck in a rut) he opted to look elsewhere.  This job is Y* which will eventually lead to a controller or some other higher up in business type career.  Another reason for switching was the length of his commute which will now be cut in half.  He did look in Utah too, but  the fact is there are not as many job opportunities there so here we are to stay for a little while yet.
* I used letters because even though Brian always tells me what he does I always forget.  It's lots of accounting acronyms and things that sound incredibly boring, but he likes it and it puts bread on the table. :)

My camera is temporarily working so I was able to get a few pictures uploaded to my computer- most of the stuff we did with guests I think we ended up videotaping because my camera was being temperamental.  Here's some pictures of "up north":

I think my kids accidentally took that last picture, but I do like the rules- I like the idea that Hell has rules, lots of them, and the rules sound kind of familiar... maybe my son has a point, maybe his home is hell...ha ha ha. :)
The other pictures of the kids with their tattoos- kids get a free tattoo for every year they've lived "the wild life".  The food is very tasty and they moved to a new bigger location because they were so popular and the old place was just too small to meet the demand.

This week is going to be the last week of school.  I decided to do a bit of thinking about our summer routines and schedules and asked my family about their goals for the summer.   I thought maybe my two youngest would like to learn how to ride a bike.  My youngest very excitedly began discussing how great this would be and all about getting his fish a bike.  We were all a little confused and my husband asked him if he understood what a goal is.  He said "yes, this is a goal," and pointed at his fish "it's a fish."  "oh, goldfish," I said.  He said, "yah, my goalfish."  Once we sorted that out he was kind of disappointed I wasn't talking about teaching his fish to ride a bike, although it sounded like he had quite a plan for it.  His sister thinks we should get his fish a bike anyway, like a little toy one and put it in the bowl.  I don't think I've seen goldfish sized bikes.  Do they still make those finger dirt bikes?  I think that still might be too big for our fish bowl.
We didn't get very far on our goals. 
We had a very busy last couple of weeks and we will have a fairly busy summer too.  This summer we are hoping to get new floors, finish a room in the basement and do a bit of bedroom rearranging and redecorating.  Some of last month's business was getting a few bids for the jobs.  Also, we were busy with school stuff, dance recital stuff, two kid's birthdays, guests for a week and I had to write a talk for church, actually two talks because the bishopric changed the topic just as I was finishing up my talk (so much for planning ahead- I didn't want to write a talk while we had guests so I thought I'd write it and be done), and I had to give the talk of course.  The first talk was on the law of consecration and the second was kind of about the Book of Mormon.  If you're curious I suppose I could post it (the one I actually gave). 
I'd like to post pictures of our fun times with our guests (my husband's dad, sister & her husband and baby), but my camera says the batteries are dead even though I try brand new batteries. :(  I've had to just use my video camera so now I have another goal for the summer -to edit all my video tapes and get back to making movies.  Oh, and get my camera fixed.
