Back to the Regular Stuff

Monday flew home.
Tuesday did laundry and unpacking and helped  Henry sew his tooth pillow.  He lost his first tooth at Grandma and Grandpa's!  He is now anxiously waiting for the other very wiggly front bottom tooth to fall out.

Brian stayed home that day and wished that during his average work day he had people sit across from him and proudly wiggle a tooth with a finger or tongue while clenching the other teeth and talk about how excited they are to tell someone special (Henry was telling us how he was going to show his teacher when he got to school).
Wednesday I put in the garden.  I don't have pictures because it's not much to look at yet.
Thursday I bought groceries and tried to catch up on the emails, mail, school notes etc. and blog a little. ;-)
Update:  Brian helped Henry's tooth along so it is now snug in it's pillow.

Last Sunday

Sunday was Mother's Day.  We went to church with Brian's dad.  I skipped out of Relief Society meeting because my family texted me that my brother Ben was on the phone.  Yay for Ben!  We are all so proud of Ben and happy he is such a great missionary in Brazil.  It was fun to talk with him.
After that we visited Connie's grave and left some flowers for Mother's Day.  I took a few artsy shots because she liked that kind of thing.

We also went to Brian's dad's place to check out all of his awards he received for his retirement.  He has some pretty cool stuff like model rockets and a print of a space shuttle painting with many of his colleagues signatures.  He also received a medal for saving the government money and he also showed us his silver snoopy award.
We then had dinner at my parents' house, had cake and ice cream to celebrate my nephew's birthday, and watched BBC Sherlock together.
Thank you Emily and Joel, Melissa and your family, Rodney, and Jeremy for coming up to see us, and Mom and Dad and Ryan for hosting, and Glenn for being our airport taxi and spending time with us too.  You are so awesome that way. :-)

Last Saturday

Saturday we hiked to the wind caves in Logan canyon.  I had a cold (I got it from Henry who started a fever half way through the plane ride) so I hiked the 3 mile trip with a box of  tissues.  I didn't come all the way to the mountains to stay in bed; even if I should have.  ;-)  It was worth it.

Last Friday

Friday was the wedding.  It was beautiful.  Here's a few favorite pictures.

I think my favorite part (well, besides how adorable it is see my brother and his new bride so smitten) was the near flooding of the wedding dinner. ;-)  The kids, both sides included I'm sure, built a Beaver dam.  It clogged the drain of the waterfall causing it to overflow and make the lawn a little mushy- where the dinner tables and dinner guests were.  The kids tried to channel it another direction, but that wasn't working out so well.  I started to move some rocks, my mom went to ask them to turn off the waterfall, my dad went to get a shovel out of his car, and my sister's boyfriend Joel, reached in and pulled out the sticks and muck and saved us all.
William has decided he would like to move to The Kimball House.  I wouldn't mind that.

Last Thursday

Thursday we checked out the Golden Spike Anniversary reenactment:

Michael taught Isaac a few camera tricks I didn't know were possible on my camera like selecting only one color, color swapping, aging, and fish eye.  He experimented the whole trip.  Some of his shots were pretty good.  Too bad Henry had to pick his nose.  At least now his nose picking looks very chic in black and white and one color.

We ate at Call's Drive-in and then went to the BEHS Natatorium.  Both were on the kids' wish list of things to do when we visit Grandparents.  Once my mom wrote us a letter about having the best root beer and onion rings ever.  It made a lasting impression.  The food was really good.  I'm missing it already.  Maybe because it's almost dinner time.

Hello Utah

Last week we hopped on a plane for my brother's wedding.  We had a great time skipping school and seeing family.  We miss all of you.
The airport is always fun.

Once in Utah Henry wasn't feeling very good so he put himself to bed.  He had a cold. We also roasted some hot dogs and marshmallows.  Michael's fiance came up and I got to meet her for the first time.  She seems awesome.  Remember those days when you would drive an hour or two one way just spend about an hour or two together and then need to drive back an hour or two knowing you would most likely see each other again the next day?  Ah, love. ;-)
A friend of mine from high school also called up and stopped by my parents.  It was fun to see each other again. :)
